This course is designed to give the delegates a full understanding of how to prepare, plan, review and implement professional business plans.

They will learn to develop KPI’s to track progress against the plan, along with the key steps in business planning.

Aim:

This business plan training provides grounding in how to write a business plan, measure, implement and review business plans.

Objectives:

Identify the key steps in the business planning process.
Devise, evaluate and implement a successful business plan.
Develop key performance indicators to track progress versus the business plan.
Manage the financial aspects of a business plan.
Review and revision of the business plan.

No pre course work is required for this business plan trainng however a calculator is required

What is the business plan? - Purpose and key element, write a business plan
Understanding the business plan cycle
Techniques for developing your business plan
Relating your plan to your objectives and strategy

Business Analysis

Market analysis – SWOT, market size and future trends
Competitive profiling and analysis

Implementing the Business Plan

Identifying and managing resources required
Creating and controlling a budget - costs, cash flow, income and profit
Risk identification and management

Reviewing and Evaluating the Business Plan

Measuring success - where are you in the plan and what have you achieved
Reviewing and reporting progress versus plan

Course Evaluation:

This course will be evaluated at Level 1 of the Kirkpatrick Training Evaluation Model (Reaction to Learning), via a short questionnaire, which will be completed at the end of the course.

Practical Arrangements:

Maximum number of delegates: Suggested max. 8-10
Number of rooms required: One large training room
Room layout: U Shape
Equipment required: Flipchart, Projector, Pads and Pens for delegates. CM Training will provide all delegates materials (handouts, copy of powerpoint slides etc., and a laptop to connect to the projector)
