The aim of the course is to provide suitable training for the purposes of Health and Safety for operators/assessors involved in the safe use of DSE (Display Screen Equipment) workstations within their workplace.

In house course price is for up to 12 delegates* per day and includes tailoring, manuals and certificates

Aims and Objectives:

The aim of the course is to provide suitable training for the purposes of Health and Safety for operators/assessors involved in the safe use of DSE (Display Screen Equipment) workstations within their workplace.

To ensure candidates complete the course with confidence, to be aware of workplace injuries, recognise early symptoms and carry out practical assessments on DSE Workstations.

The course is ½ a day in the classroom which includes a practical demonstration and individual assessments of DSE Workstations. The training is carried out in accordance with Nationally Accredited Standards.

Proposed Course Outline:

On successful completion of the course, delegates should be able to:

Check workstation equipment for suitability and set up.
Check of the environment and performance affecting factors.
Check of seated posture in set up and on going training.
Assessment of work related health risks.
Pain Prevention.
Operator duties and responsibilities.
Practical assessments.

Course Evaluation:

Candidates are awarded the DSE Workstation Assessor certificate after successfully completing the training.

Practical Arrangements:

Maximum number of delegates: Suggested max. 10-12, but can be run with up to 16 depending on size of room
Number of rooms required: One large training room
Room layout: U Shape
Equipment required: Flipchart, Projector, Pads and Pens for delegates. CM Training will provide all delegates materials (handouts, copy of powerpoint slides etc., and a laptop to connect to the projector)
Timings: 9.15 to 12.30
