
This
half day cultural diversity course is designed to give delegates an
overview and understanding of some of the key issues relating to
‘culture’: in particular, an awareness of how cultural practices differ
between different racial and national groups, and some practical advice
on providing services to a diverse customer/user base. This will
benefit delegates by ensuring that they are able to recognise the needs
of different people that they interact with, and are able to
effectively adapt their approach to different people.
The course
is practically based and interactive in nature, utilising a range of
learning methods including pairs exercises, tutor input, plenary
discussion, group work and case studies.
