Management and Supervisor Training

Accredited Advanced Skill Development - Lvl 4


This accredited advanced development training programme has been created for any team member wishing to improve their skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Change Management
  • Internal Customer Relationships
  • Developing Self and Others
  • Managing Difficult Situations

Ideally positioned for senior members of the team or management this programme will provide each delegate with a Level 4 (pre-graduate) qualification from the Open College Network (nationally recognised throughout the UK)

Each module is one day in length and attracts additional assignments that will need to be completed and reviewed at the next session.

The programme is delivered in an interactive style to ensure that plenty of group discussion takes place, along with scenarios, role plays and group exercises.

Module 1 – Emotional Intelligence

Project Management - Introduction


The aim of this 1 day project management introduction course is to enable delegates to successfully plan, resource and budget for a project.

The course introduces the methodologies and underpinning knowledge to become a project manager. Once the delegate has completed the introduction we highly recommend they attend the advanced course, giving them a full understanding of project management.

Typically a delegate will be able to:

  • Understand what a project managers role is
  • Identify Stakeholders of the project

  • Gain the tools of project management

No pre course work is required, however we recommend that the delegate brings with them a project that they have been assigned to further embed the training, although this is not essential.

Project Management - Advanced


This advanced level workshop will provide learners who are familiar with project management with the skills and knowledge to become effective project managers.

Although the course is not Prince 2 accredited our trainer is a Prince 2 practionioner so delegates can enquire about these methodologies if they wish.

The course links in to our Introduction course, so delegates new to project management can attend both to become a successful project manager.

Management Skills Training - 2 day


This 2 day management training program (derived from the ILM Level 3 management programme) is designed to give new and existing managers (recently promoted or no formal training) the underpinning knowledge and skills to be exceptional team managers.

The course focuses on exceptional leadership skills, managing staff, reporting back, delegation and how to motivate their teams to achieve results.


At the end of this 2 day management skills course delegates will be able to:

Management / Leadership Training - OCN Accredited


This accredited management training programme is designed to provide all line managers with the underpinning knowledge and skills to be an effective individual and team manager.

Participants will receive a nationally recognised accreditation from the OCN at the end of the programme which is equivalent to the ILM and NVQ level 3.  

Aim

The aim of this four day programme is to enhance managers or team leaders understanding of their role, responsibilities and required behaviour to be successful at managing and leading people.

Objectives

By the end of the workshop, participants will have enhanced their understanding of:

  • Their role and responsibilities as a manager or team leader
  • How to develop teams & individuals
  • How to set work objectives and monitor performance
  • How to prioritise workloads
  • How to give constructive feedback and motivate others
  • What delegation is and how to provide support and motivation
  • Communicate and influence others
  • How to be assertive and deal with other peoples’ behaviour
  • Their own behavioural skills and attitude towards managing

Ideally suited to new or exisiting managers who have had sporadic training or have been recently promoted. The course can cater for up to 12 delegates attending. The in house price is per day for all 12.

At the end of the programme each delegate will recieve an accredited transferable certificate at Level 3 from the OCN.
